GG Triggerhappy: May the dlc be with you
Electronic arts announced details about the game Star wars Battlefront 2, specifically that some core characters of the serie like Vader will not be playable from the start, and we’ll have to unlock them. The ways to unlock them were either grinding for 40 hours, or of course, paying for it!
Many players complained about what seems like a tactic to say “the content is free if you grind for it” while at the same time making it so hard to grind that many who have no time for it will just have to pay for it. The response from Ea community team was “The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes.”, which is like the most retarded excuse ever.
This has promted a logical wave of backlash, critiques, memes and the response has become the most downvoted in reddit history.

Guess lame Waters never got the memo on the price drops
By chance do you mean how they cut “prices” by 75% while cutting “rewards” by 75% resulting in 0% difference?
Yeah.. we GOT the memo.
If they wanted to make you feel like you’ve achieved something, then they should have a challenge that you have to complete in order to get the character. You know, an “achievement”. It’s a novel concept, really: do something cool and difficult to pull off, and you get a reward for doing said cool and difficult thing!
Play for 4 hours each day, with 30 minutes of that waiting through menus, waiting rooms and loading screens.
That’s 3.5 years to unlock everything without paying extra.
Imagine having to work an hour’s unpaid overtime for each $ you earned at work. Just think of the pride and sense of achievement you’d feel.
That’s the message I’d like to send to those EA wankers and the cucks trying to explain that it’s better, now we have to come out of the game and go into the console’s store page in order to spend extra money on it to be able to unlock everything before 2020.
If they were capable of empathy, maybe they wouldn’t have put a daily cap on how many credits can be earned.
