Gamergate life 61 (english)
(version española https://www.kukuruyo.com/comic/gamergate-life-61-espanol/)
Bahar mustafa is a woman who jumped to the spotlight when, while being a student diversity officer, organized an event for “equality” but forbid white males to attend. When people complained about this obvious racial and sexual discrimination, she proceded to mock them and use the hashtag #killallmen to make sexist and racist comments, while pretending she cannot be racist or sexist because shes a non white woman (though she’s the whitest non white i’ve ever seen).
Now, aparently, she has recently being arrested for those mocking tweets and is facing charges for “sending a threatening communication”. The hashtag #istandwithbaharmustafa was created to support her, and you know what? Gamergate has gone there en masse to support her freedom of speech. Because thats what freedom speech means, it means everyone can say what they want without being censored or arrested for it, even if she says stupid things, even if she’s clearly a hateful racist and sexist biggot and we don’t agree with anything she says, she still has the right to go to twitter and make mocking comments about people. Of course, we obviously know that if it was someone from gamergate the one arrested, neither she nor her followers would defend us.
Oh, and in a turn of events, the UN has deleted their pro-censorship report about violence and sexism in the internet and in videogames, because it was so bad that even the likes of Randi harper and Zoe quinn were against it (or at least they said so after watching the public reaction to it).

“Not standing as in, standing up, obviously. Has a hashtag ever meant that?”
Shakira (Mebarek) is Arab. “Shakira” means “:pleasure” in Arabic.
Salma Hayek is Arab. “Salma” means “safe” in Arabic.
Marlo Thomas is Arab. Her father. Danny Thomas, was born Amos Muzyad Yakhoob Kairouz.
No one has ever thought to call them non-white.
I forgot Paula Abdul.
Ehh… I really don’t stand with her so much as against those sort of laws. This is like saying you stand with an arsonist because you don’t like the cold.
Why would you support soneone who basically threatens and uses a hashtag that says kill all men. Even when this is not a real threat this person needs to be respectful like everyone else. I can’t go to a cop either and insult him and his family without him trying to sue me.
That is the point, we know that #killallmen is not a real threat. It is true that there’s people using the hashtag with real killing intention but most of them don’t, even if many hate men, they have no real intention to pick a gun and kill one. We cannot really expect to make our how parody, satiric or mocking hashtags and comments freely while wanting others to be jailed for doing so.
I cannot stand with her. People often forget that a freedom of speech does not mean that there is a freedom from consequences for what was said. You should be able to say things without censorship but don’t think there aren’t repercussions for it, especially if you think your gender, race, sexual orientation, or whatever shields you from it.
I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I must disagree.
There is facing the consequences of what one has said,
such as shouldering public outrage, losing friends and supporters,
etc.
Then there is not being able to express your opinions without getting
prosecuted by the government. There are very few situations in which
ones words should get them criminally charged, and posting immature
comments online isn’t one of them.
I can not agree with the things she has said done. But no one should be silenced by the government.
If I where to give my approval to that, then I would have no recourse when the majority wants to silence me
someday.
