Fun fact: in the original Monster Hunter for PS2, there was allegedly some dialogue that used a feminine pronoun to refer to Fatalis. Female Fatalis could very well be canon.
If you look at the lore of monster hunter she is basically discount D’jahira. XD
Monster Hunter doesn’t really have much lore compared to other worlds and franchises. It’s basically “the world is 99% wilderness ruled by monsters, but humans have built a society using clever technology from valuable materials, and the monster hunters protect people and infrastructure from the monsters”.
I recall that Fatalis is spoken of in an old children’s song. And Castle Schrade was a mighty fortress that it just totally ruined. It is the reason Lao-Shan Lung was migrating away, it was fleeing in fear. That’s about all I know…
Monster hunters story is that many years ago there was a war between the ancient society (think of them as the empire but instead of humanoids they hate dragons) and the elder dragon, because the ancient society used the dragons as slaves or research subjects. This war ended with the elder dragons, being victorious over the ancient society and the ancient society being destroyed. after the destruction of all there technology the human race had to start from scrap and that is why monster hunter has a prehistoric look to it. This new society thought each other that the monster should be treated with respect so that a war like the ancient society would never start agian and out of that idea came the guild who decided what monster can be killed and what monster can’t be killed. But the elder dragons have never forgotten about the war and still race havoc across the new society.
The reason that I said that fatalis is like D’jahira is, because fatalis started the war agianst the human race out of hate for how they treated his kind. Kinda like D’jahira, but fatalis is discount D’jahira, because D’jahira is more badass than fatalis.XD
