Triggerhappy: Realistic fighters
The argument for “realistic” bodies in videogames, or any media, can be completelly thrown out the window the moment the setting isn’t trying to be realistic. Sexy body types, for both men and women, are there simply to make the product more attractive because people find sexy bodies more attractive to watch, instead of fat people, and any malevolent interpretation of this is just ideology trying to validate itself. But even if we were to accept the premise of having “realistic bodies” in videogames, it could be refute using their own argument, because female martial arts fighters DO HAVE the type of bodies that videogames show. It’s one of those collateral effects of training your body to be a better fighter: you become fit.
The unrealistic thing would be that those fighters would be fat, as ideologes pretend.

I want more viable heavyweights in fighting games, with the flinch mechanic creating a momentary stun, heavyweights who realisticly would take a hit while hitting are stunned and unable to use their power because they lack speed creating metas that normally prefer quick characters.
Boy do I got a game for you. XD
